I am going absolutely stir crazy... More Snow is on the way... I need DUCK SEASON!!! I am not sure if watching these videos makes it better or worse...

I set my diver spreads in long lines... but I do like the way his spread looks... Opinions

I feel your pain brother, I am going nuts. Went up to my camp with my son an just unloaded my hunting boat. I wanted to feel like it was hunting season. I still had snacks and drinks in the boat so I was ready to go. Six dozen decoys just sitting there doing nothing. If I stayed any longer I think my goose decoys would of started talking to me lol. Its cold here in the Northeast and snow is coming on Tuesday they say. I really think its time for spring. Good news is I saw a few ducks and geese on my pond pair up. Always a good sign of spring. [;)]

I am with you, re-grassed the blind and now thinking of doing it over.
I like Matt’s set up to, I don’t have near the amount of birds working my spread when I am down there! Go figure?

The violations occurred in 2012 and 2013, and it took 5 years for the case to work its way through the system.

$25,000 is a steep fine, but only a 2 year suspension from hunting and guiding seems light to me.
 
Did you notice that no birds worked-in deep on his spread, with the majority landing well short? Did you also notice the direction his mixed species spread was pointing? He should have set someplace else, as well as working to open-up his longlines, but didn't, educating a lot of birds. Those birds were actually landing with the little bit of breeze blowing...

As you can see by this video, you too can decoys lots of canvasbacks if you just add a mojo to your spread!

Weather is messing us up, just when the fishing seems to be ready to kick into gear, we get another front, usually on the weekend.
 
I probably harvest more Canvasbacks than anyone in the world and like to think of myself as the go to outfitter in the country if people are looking to shoot one.

Ok ok... Enough abough the tool bad guide...I didn't think I posted this on The Refuge. He will not be hunting this year... But I will... I just was needing a fix on the king of birds!
