Stoeger Longfowler Side by Side Question

Oh yeah, my stock cracked too, but that could have been the result of it getting thrown after misfiring :).

Sounds like someone has anger issues, lol

Ever play golf, how many clubs do you go thru a season?

Never have and never will play golf, so I can't comment.

Didn't you see my smiley? :).

P.S. I don't consider it anger issues, I consider it POS issues.

I had a sttoeger over-under. It worked great and I never had a problem. I have a plate in my neck so stopped shooting doubles...sold the gun to my buddy and he hunted it most of last season. He had two miss fires with it. However, it was below zero and the gun was wet a few days prior to it being used. My assumption is that the gun is wet often due to being a duck gun and is either very dirty and or has some rust. He shot some gun oil in around the firing pins and the gun worked fine.

I've always thought that the only positive of golf was that there where clubs to bend ot throw. :)

I have only played once with my brother-in-law. I had a blast watching him get pissed at every hole as he would throw his clubs all over the place. I pushed him over the edge when I said I thought golf was supposed to be a relaxing sport....It still brings a smile to my face when I think about it.

I have owned 2 Stoeger sxs. The first one wouldn't always fire the second barrel. Finally I found where receiver had a crack. Sent it back to beretta. Then they sent me my second one and I traded in for a spartan (Baikal). Don't plan on ever owning a Turkish built gun again. John

I have a Stoeger uplander that I got for similar reasons. The romance and nostalga of a SxS without the price and being able to shoot steel w/o worry as that is my primary hunting. Well I know it is a cheap gun but the handling is not the best and I just don't shoot it that well. My friend has one and that is his go to gun and he says he shoots it well. Part of the problem is I've been an 870 shooter forever and shoot that gun well and cycle the pump without thought. The front trigger pull is very stiff also but that seems to be getting better with wear. I'm sure if I shot it excluseively I would improve and also wish they did put a recoil pad on it. I've grabbed it for geese for when I want to take my son and let him use my 12GA. pump. I kind of like that 3rd shot but think it wouldn't matter if I shot it better.
