There's been quite a change around here! I hope everyone's getting the hang of the new arrangements.

I had quite the hunting experience today - got my truck stuck in a ditch before I could fairly get going, had to summon help to get pulled out, and then when I did get to hunt, shot a goose that I couldn't recover! (I really, really need to get a dog). Failure to get the goose wasn't for lack of trying. I really kicked the crap out of myself trying to locate that son of a gun, to no avail.

The main "pond"(60 acre), on the property we hunt has a large lilly pad/lotus blossom problem. The ducks and geese are using the pads to hide under in their dying breaths. We've been within 3ft with the wrong angle and basically blind. Very discouraging. We hunt a cattle farm and have found the occasional same problem with the blue goose and cow patties on field hunts. OK OK Quit your friggin laughing. I know I'm not the only person to have dealt with these "problems".

I'm waiting for Federal to come out with a steel/paint ball shotshell Preferably in hunter orange.
