sunfish = duck boat?

anyone seen those sunfish sail boats the little ones like 12-14 ft long. they almost resemble the blue bill boats i think. i saw one moored on the lake today and thought it would make a good duck boat minus the sail. it had a slight v hull with a very low profile, a deck like the sneak boats, and a squared off transom. anyone know what im talking about?

think it would make a decent gunboat?

i hunt with a few rather portly guys and we use one as a layout it has worked awesome we even built a flip open blind for it
 
I have built 2 of the Sunfish sailboat conversions. One was 10' the other 11' long, great for use as a layout with a 40lb elect motor I am able to retrieve my own ducks and gear.
I sold the 11' last year and still use the 10' on occassion.

I've got a super snark style sailboat I bought for my daughters with the thought of making a layout boat if they didn't use it. Well, If you want one it's 30 miles west of Albany Ny and you can have it and all the sail stuff for $75 bucks. If I had the time I'd modify and make another boat but too many boats and not enough time
 
I have a friend that is redoing a Sunfish as I write this..And he is doing a great job..That is going to be one nice sneakbox... Funny thing is this is his 2nd year duck hunting...He is hooked bad... He has got the Fever....... John
