Susquehanna Wildfowler boat

May have been fabricated by fritz meck--i think that is his name--Foberglass? Smyser has one, which he has not used for a long time.

I done a google search but didn't have much luck.I own one and wanting to find out what size motor others might be using. Tag inside boat says 9 hp max. I have a chance to get a 6 hp at a good price but wasn't sure if it would be enough motor, the boat is 11'10"x 48" x12" deep all glass sneak box. I might try to send mike a email. Thanks for the info sir george , keep the dust flying and the blood drops to a minimum. Phil

Fritz Meck, of Lancaster Pa. made those boats in the late 70's. They were great boats and had a hull that could handle some speed. I had him ship me two to Los Angles and shipped him 2 Scull boats. Had my boats until 2011 , when I had the big garage sale. Super boats for bigger water! Bob

Bob , do you recall what size motor you ran on these? I have a 6 hp I can get or should I go for a 9hp. With decoys dog and gear I will be hauling 450 lb or so. Boat is rated for 9hp max. Thanks Phil

Bob,

Thanks for the info ,I talked with another person who owns one of these boats and he said with a 9hp is was really fast.I have to make up my mind which size motor to get,the biggest issue is overall boat capacity with me and the dog and gear.

Thanks Phil
