Teeth per inch"

I found a used delta Bandsaw. Not the exact size and power I wanted, but very cheap.

Got some pine boards glued together and I am getting ready to cut out heads.

Do I want an aggressive cutting blade with low teeth per inch or something finer?

I had been using 6TPI and just switched to 4. Works much better, especially for bodies

4 tpi when I can find them, but I usually have to mail order or travel to find them. 6 tpi works in a pinch. 4 is better for clearing chips out when cutting thick stock.

Thanks. I'll have to order one, couldn't find any 4s at the local lowes. I picked up a 6 to get me going for now.

I will be working on heads first, so slow and steady will be the ticket anyways.
