Thank you Massachusetts

Hopefully the end of the Obama Muslim agenda to destroy The United States
Now we need to get him out in 2012

Not sure that is the best thing to say. I whole heartedly disagree with Obama but his politics are more european socialism and elitist scholar based then Muslim.

Tim [/quote]
Agree with Tim. I dont like the far left Liberal Agenda, but I see no Muslim Extremest aspects to any of Obama's policies or actions. If anything, Mulsim Extremist are Extreme Far-Right leaning, its just not the Amercian Christian variety of extreme far right. What I think that almost all politicians at the Federal level fail to realize is that most Americans are moderates, a silent majority if you will. The edges of both the Left and the Right making the most noise and getting the most attention.

Actually Carl, poll after poll has shown that without a doubt most Americans classify themselves as conservative.

Without a doubt? I have a lot of doubt about how people classify themselves. I'll bet a majority are unable to define liberal, moderate and conservative.

Even if so, I am betting it is moderately conservative and then not on all issues.
And of course that all greatly depends on who takes the poll and how the questions are worded.

Well...

To which side of the political distribution that you perceive yourself to be probably matters not in the long run....it is in how we treat our fellow Americans that produces the the admirable qualities we desire in society....Love your neighbor as yourself....something of Biblical origins it seems.

Both major parties are drinking from the cup of power and what it produces, at the expense of all Americans. If I thought that politicians as a whole, possessed an altruistic heart, I would be beside myself as I wouldn't have a scape goat for Americas ills.

Matt

There is no doubt that people, when asked to classify themselves as conservative, moderate or liberal, respondants answer conservative more than 50% of the time. That is, a marority(over 50%) say they are conservative. Since neither one of us can read peoples minds, I'll rest on my original statement.

Carl,

I often wonder if a person holding extreme views has an innate nature that produces the ability to scream and beat the drums louder than anyone else with out thought of the consequences...As contrasted to a person that holds a more moderate position being naturally inhibited in such a manner as to not express themselves so loudly...

OK I must be drooling out the corners of my mouth...

Hi Dave -

I have to admit it was fun voting for Brown yesterday........ the turnouts were huge in lousy weather. He really connected when he pointed out that the seat belongs to all of us. Now, if we could just get things done without a lot of negotiation that allows unrelated crap to get attached to legislation. and maybe throw in term limits.......... I know what a pipe dream.

sarge

Term limits is definitely a plus and take away ALL BENEFITS from Congress. No pentions, no special treatment. Whatever they give us, they get too.

I must say I've enjoyed listening to the Dems today. Even Barney is running scared!!

Obama seems to think Mass was a referendum on Bush era policies.....what a moron.

I've said it once and I'll say it again.....THANK YOU MASSACHUSETTS! The work has only begun, but we're headed in the right direction. Matt, you're right. Power will corrupt, and it's up to the electorate to remind them who is in charge.

It's hardly extreme to be sickened by what this administration is doing to those that are keeping us safe. Trying Americans right next to foreign terrorist cowards that wont fight under a flag or wear a uniform in the American justice system. The same Justice system that our troops fight and die to protect. How dare you Eric Holder and Barack Obama. Every terrorist should be water boarded and then shot. Give them the same end they would give to every single one of us if they had the chance.

Very few of us have a true understanding of the intentions of Obama and his cronies. It's easy to not want to believe what is going on, but I'd rather hear these so called "extremist" drum beats.

I know a few folks that are "in the know" and you would absolutely shit in your panties if you knew what our foreign enemies were doing to try and kill you. It's bad enough that we have to fight a Jihad from foreign shores. Now we're fighting a domestic enemy that wants to "fundamentally change America"

It's the laisse faire attitudes of Moderates that have left us in the mess we're in.

Once again....THANK YOU MASSACHUSETTS for once again firing the first shot to get this country back on track.

Squirm you liberal bastards.....SQUIRM.

Without rancor - Now Dave, don't get your blood pressure up.

You sound exactly like I did when GW was our president. I blamed the conservative for GW's utter disregard for the wishes of the American people, Now you blame the moderates.

What I hope you and I realize is that the system is broken. This extreme polarization is getting in the way of correcting the problem. Dems hate Repubs and visa versa - convs hate liberals and visa versa - The us and them mentality produces elected officials that are on top for 4-8 years and then go to the bottom when the other party gets control. Worst yet, they don't seem to be accountable.

I don't know much about Coackley or Brown but if the reason Brown was elected is because he will block Obama, then we should all be worried. That should not be a reaon to win or lose. We forget qualifications in the process (not necessarily referring to this case).

So this moderate is not squirming tonight. Obama is failing because he is spending money he doesn't have. He is attempting to pass healthcare reform without telling us anything about it (you can probably count on one hand the number of folks who read all 1800 pages) and worst of all none of those readers are congressmen. And that isn't even discussing the pork in this bill.

I forget who, but someone suggests that Obama's agenda is to destroy this country. WTF people ?

In 3 years, maybe even 7 years, your party will be back in power and then they will be under the gun for their policies just as the moderates are now and this will go on and on and on and on until we the people change it by electing more qualified legislators with term limits and without regard to party affiliation.

I blame GW for the current state of our economy - he spent us into deficit and now Obama is upping the ante instead of reducing it. There is plenty of blame to go around on both sides. The trick is for the voting public to elect the most qualified as opposed to electing a party or alleged philosophy. And don't tell me Brown was an example of this. He seems to have won to stop Obama.

The blame game we all play has to be reconsidered. Not trying to be pontifical - just my 2cents.

The only President I have ever seen hated more than Obama is George W. Bush. We are 2 for 2 in this millenium. hmmmm This process can only be changed by: WE THE PEOPLE , not we the republicans, not we the democrats.

Best wishes,
Bill

I personally do not blame GW for the state of the economy.....I blame a very basic attribute of most people,,,we want the mostest for the leastest.....greed...maximum profit....marginal revenue = marginal cost= maximum economic profit....from bankers to politicians and moving to the average Joe....we want and we want and we want more.....a bigger house then we can afford....more votes and we will buy them with tax payers money....and we want a fast profit from speculative deals.....more and more, and bigger and bigger....beside the Chinese will lend us more and own the soul of America and be happy to do it....

So do I think the American people will vote for the most qualified person? Maybe? Who promised the biggest slice of the pie, will they win?

Am I cynical? Jaded? Tired of the poop? Disgusted? maybe a bit of each?

Do I think Obama is out of control and needs to be stopped? YES!! But is Brown the most qualified? A qualified politician?

Come on give me a break...let us as the American public face it,,, the rats are running the rat maze..........we have not the guts, or will power, nor maybe even not the ability to stop and reform the system.....We each feed upon the tit of the Federal government in some form...jobs....programs...welfare....and so forth.....we will not allow the system to stop feeding us....we are greedy unto a fault that may be our own demise.....

Yes I am a cynical old bastard...

If he was elected to block Obama, we should be worried about Obama, but not about Brown. Because if that is the case, he will have been elected to stop policies that are opposed by that electorate, which is a proper function of a democratic election, just as putting forward policies that the same electorate favors would be.

I'm from Mass and your welcome. :) Yesterday was the best time I have had voting and it felt so good to make a difference in this countries direction. Brown's father lives on Plum Island right up the road from us and he was a city councilman in town for many years. A good man and so is his son. Scott Brown is practical and sensible. I hope he can do great things in DC. I also can not believe the really numb reps that are saying they will still cram bills down our neck. If your reps out there did not take notice of what happen in Mass they too will be kicked out on their @#$. We need to make more reps examples and get some new blood in there that is willing to get things done. The one other thing that I pushed yesterday was for everyone to vote. I asked one young lady and she said that they are all crooks and she would not bother. I told her that many people have died for her freedom and ability to vote so go vote. She slithered away.

Your welcome Dave and others now do the same in your state. Hank

I believe Brown was elected to send a message that the people are not happy with what Obama is doing - period. I heard on the news that only 12% of the populace of the State are registered or consider themselves Republican. To end up with 52% of the vote is a direct reflection on the policies the current administartion is trying to ram down our throats. I also see a direct correlation to the timing of the drop in poll numbers for Brown's opponeent to when it was made known that certain States were getting sweetheart delas to garner more votes for passage of the healthcare plan. As soon as that was made known, the ladies numbers dropped.

People are sick and tired of what is going on in Washington. Obama made promises he is not keeping. The Dem's are so blinded by their own "greatness" they can't even see what they are doing wrong

Change - what positive change are we seeing.

Totally open door policy - that's out the door with the latest closed door, one side of the political party negotiations on Health care

No more war making - sending in thousands of troops into Afganistan

No additional taxes on people making less than $x (I don't know the number as it changed constantly)

Taxing businesses on cap and trade

All the coverup of data on global warming cause it didn't fit their cause.

Trying war criminals in US courts

Bailouts

Government takeover of businesses

Union's exception on those with cadillac health plans from having to pay the 40% tax on heath care coverage
30 + "Czars"

Barney Frank and Chris Dodd wrecking the housing market by haveing the governent back worthless loans. The everyone is entitled to a home is an failuer that we will be paying for for a long time. Where's the accountabilty - oh yeah, blame Bush

Harry Reid telling all balcks that if they are really black and don't speak well they can't ever be President.

All the democratic tax cheats in the administration who have had nothing happen to them

Pelosi needing to order a new plane for her cause the one she had couldn't go from Washington to California without refueling.

And so on and so on. Believe when I say it is not the Dems who are the only guilty party on things such as this. They are all equally bad and not one of them cares about us or what happens to this country. They believe themselves to be rulers, not public servants. Another example of this - go look up how many people it takes just to fly the President (whether dem or rep) around to wherever he needs to go. It is in the tens of thousands just to fly him around. I think I saw the other night that there are over 70 helicopters in the Presidential fleet. There is not one Air Force one but two identical planes that fly together wherever the President goes. He flies his own fuel in wherever he goes. his own car, his own helicopters, own food, etc.... Thousands of people just to fyl the guy around the world. That's a mid sized company.

Of my rant. I'm tired of them all. Oh yeah, in Brown's acceptance speech he didn't claim this to be a Republican victory, he said it was a victory for all the independent voters. Hope the Republicans don't view this as a victory for their side.

one of many facts
Khalid Shaikh Mohammed
is a war criminal !! why is the Obama Attorney General letting him go to civilian court instead of a Military firing squad?
Muslim Sympathiser President! Now I am done

I'm with Jim on this one. I thought we were a Christian nation anyway? Doesn't it say "In God We Trust" on all our money? Did not our founding fathers base everything on believing in God, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit? What has happened. Obama may not have muslim agendas, but, he accepts it as a religion!!!
