I wanted to take a minute and post up a great big THANK YOU to Paul Rutgers, last night at his painting class featuring Pat Gregory he presented Blake with a present that Im sure he will treasure always.
Story goes, Paul grabbed a rocking chair from salvage to fix up and repair for dad (Lee Harker) while he was down in Texas in February for his medical testing. Rocking chair was also a little bit of a rub between Paul and dad, being that dad was a bit older than Paul they had a batter back and forth on this. (Aka Brat for Paul) and was it Geezer for dad? Don't remember for sure, unfortunately dad wasn't able to receive Paul's gift before he passed away in March. Paul had it signed by a bunch of guys and saved it up and presented it to Blake last night.
Needless to say he hasn't done much but sit in it all day today and read the copy of Modern Water Fowling Today that Paul let him borrow.
I thank you so much Paul for thinking first of dad and how much he would have enjoyed the gift, and second for thinking so much of dad to keep the gift and present it to Blake. He is, as I am sure you all are missing dad greatly. Even though we are coming up on six months with out him it still tares at me as if its been only a day. A greater dad, grandpa, and friend Ive never known.
Again thank you Paul! It really meant alot to all of us!
