The deceived and the deceiver...

Vince - I had the same experience when I went to the Ward museum a few years ago. They had a carving inside a glass case of either an eagle or hawk holding onto a running ring-neck pheasant by a tail feather. The pheasant was dashing thru a cut corn field. I was told the raptor was suspended only by the talon to feather connection and that everything inside the case was carved....including the corn stalks and weeds. AMAZING! I could only find one pic of it online and the photo does a terrible disservice to such a great piece of art.

Not DR but I have seen a fox pouncing on a pheasant. I am envious of this talent- I am doomed to point and shoot pictures and plastic decoys ;-(
