The Honker is getting closer!

Well after 10 days in Michigan and a week of getting caught back up from being in Michigan for 10 days this is where the Honker is.
Have her all finished on the outside for the most part need to install the lights in the holes on the side and get her registered. On the inside I what to put shelves down the side and need to do the wiring.
The motor will be here around the 16th to the 21st so hoping to have it done by then. Went with the Yamaha 70 tillered.
Getting kind of excited, heck even the wife is too!

Hi Craig, Nice looking boat !! Hope you're making good use of it
I am considering building the Honker, maybe stretched a little for fishing Tampa, Panama City, Port St Joe bay and Apalachicola. Mostly protected waters, grass flats and some near shore. The bay does get swirly at times. I may venture off on a good day a few miles to a wreck but nothing crazy. Could you tell me what you think of this boat in terms of fishability, sea worthy (within reason) and stability. Mostly it will be 2-3 people and my Belgian Malinious. Good chance I'll be doing some Bow fishing in Lakes too. Thanks Frank

Belgium? Horse... I would not advocate for a Honker and a 1500# horse...

I also built a Honker.. Mine is sale, as ?.after 13 years.. I went BIGGER.. Mine is 19'3"x91"... Mine has 27" sides.. it is extremely sea worthy. I have been on Lake Michigan Looking UP and the crest of waves around me.

Your boat looks Fantastic !! Nice work !! but I'm looking for a more open, flatter decked boat.
While you're here how is the stability for fishing ? and if you have any input to my previous questions. Thanks

Stable as land.. .. BIG platform. If you want a flat deck.. it is easily modified.

It is a great boat!

It has handled everything that central Kansas can throw at it, hunt it on a large reservoir here. Have hunted 4 guys and the dog out of it with on problems. Great platform for any need really.
This is the only picture I have of the inside of the boat, 3 of my kids, the dog , and me at the end with room to spare. For some reason I can't figure out how to rotate it to look right!
