The Real Harbingers of Spring

Hey, our robins are digging through a few inches of snow this morning--Bird feeders are crowded with fauna. Had a cardinal inside the open door of the garage this morning, while i was filling the feeders--Welcome, sweet springtime/
Were you addressing the hockey players or the blackbirds?
 
Maybe some of the 75F temps that we will have beginning on Wednesday will start to drift northeast from here to help melt the snow! Nothing quite as exciting as spring time with new life about to begin.

How can you judge a season by the presence of this or that professional sport? I have become completely disillusioned by the stretching of the season to encompass 11 months...
 
I just saw my first turkey vulture over the weekend as well. Seemed a little odd as I was trying to do some dog training in a foot of snow still.
