i keep forgetting to post this

I'm pretty sure this is from westport state park looking into grays harbor

a nice launch somewhere on willipa bay

we stayed at long beach for 2 nights and this is the public entrance to the beach

a whole bunch of those sailing jellyfish, they were pretty cool to see and get washed in with storms that also bring in the glass floats from japan

this is a little walkin hunting spot on the chinook river by ilwaco, i saw more ducks in the middle of june out here than i do during the hunting season here. there are mallards absolutely everywhere around the bays and rivers

THE BIG C!!!!

further inland on the washington side

the Oregon side of the mouth

in astoria Rogue brewing has a tap house on a pier, they had 30 of their own beers on tap and all the food was cooked with beer, it was a really cool place to eat at.

we did a bunch of hikes in Oregon down to cape lookout

Squirrel!

one of my favorite picture Nikki took

Below cape lookout

we decided that we had time to checkout Mt. Rainer so we took a little drive, unfortunately it was very froggy at paradise so we couldnt really see the mountain, but it was an absolutely amazing drive.

you get a lot of weird looks wearing shorts when its 40 out

it was one hell of an adventure and we can't wait to get back out there.

lots of planning and figuring out, but getting a dually with a slide in camper is high on the list. Who knows we just might make it up the alaskan highway and never come back :)

Glad you both enjoyed and had nice weather. You did a nice job capturing the beauty of it here. The saying around here is "the Mountain is out". Meaning that more often than not it is in the clouds.

Great photos; you made me a bit homesick for my former home country. You were lucky with the weather--that early in the year isn't usually that dry.

Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a great time Chris.

Brad " the mountain is out" lol, I'll have to steal that when I'm up in the white mountains.

We were pleasantly surprised with the weather.

I like the saying Brad.

Nikki started looking at a different travel nursing agencies this weekend. The goal is for her to figure out where her first contract will bevy January, so I can look for some work. Looks like oyster mariculture is real big in Oregon so that would be cool(looks like pacsea is always hiring, they also do aquaculture), or do some more seasonal fish and wildlife work so we can move freely. But I have no problem doing landscaping again or what ever I can get.

We are really looking forward to getting back out there and an epic cross country drive!

I might just have to stop and annoy some of you guys on the way out, haha.

Thanks for allowing all of us to share these awesome pics of your adventure Chris!

It is very special to have someone at your side who shares and enjoys all of this right along with you. You two make a lovely couple!

Good luck to you both, and don't be afraid to share more photos!

No doubt about it, Chis, you two are smitten. What a great honeymoon trip and those pictures were outstanding.

Great pics, looks like you guys had a nice trip. My younger brother was stationed in Astoria with the Coast Guard, beautiful country out that way.
