The waders were hung by the chimney, with care.

My waders, which usually hang on a hook by the back door, were exiled to the man cave in the barn over the holiday. Brought them in last night in preparation for a hunt last night, and when I stuck my foot in them this morning, hit a dozen acorns in the right toe!

Apparently Santa is using squirrels as elves this year. No signs of chewed holes or leaks, thank goodness. Maybe time for some traps or DCon out there. I hate to use the Dcon, as I have a neighbor with a puppy and at least one stray cat that sometimes poke around the barn. Apparently the cat is not doing its job.

a sign of the times- one more sector not taking responsibility lol

we have a colony of barn cats - more than semi tame - and house cats- and while sitting by the tree opening gifts Christmas day- we heard a mouse scampering in the ceiling

had to put a trap out - this keeps up I am cutting back on cat food rations

That is a good one, Jeff. This morning when I put my right foot into the wader I found that I was stepping on a cocklebur. I think I would take your acorns.
