It's been getting better every day. We've finally got the birds here on the East End. Had the Kelly Bros out today Dennis and Jim. A limit of 12 Killed in our Riverhead lot. It was a lot of fun out there today. They came in singles and pairs one bunch of about 20 that they kocked down 4. The best was at the end when we were just getting ready to pack up and walk back to the truck when about 2000 got rousted out of a lot to the south of us and decided to move into our field. Of course we never shot but it was pretty exciting watching them lock up and come into the rig, I tried to grab one thru the door but I missed.

Gus is giving me fits in the field. He is not retriving the way he should. He wants to play with them and hard mouth them even the ducks weve shot out there he is not working with them right. Were going to get out in the ocean on Thursday with the Eider and Scoter maybe it will jolt him back to reality. The problem also lies with me. Weve been gunning every day and its tough to go back to basics with him right now

Jack,
hows the wind out there today?

Looks pretty strong from the hill over here!

Blowing a gale out of the NW. A stesdy 40-50 kts. We gunned Sagaponack today. We we done with our six by 9:00 AM. Tomorrow the numbers go up they'll be 5 hunters plus me in the pit. That should make it interesting. I left the rig out for my Son and his friend. They got their 4 no problem, one was banded, 1st one of the year. That put the total up to 151 birds so far this year. It gets better from now on.
