They WERE all new!!!

Interesting....the GHG scoters are filled with foam?
I guess that somewhat justifies the $100/doz pricetag.

Something to do in the off season. For some reason my y-boards have been taking it on the chin this season. I have a lot of repairs to do also.

That's what happens when your decoys are doing too good of a job. Ducks land amongst the decoys or you mistake em for the real thing.

Those are prototypes, but yes all sea ducks by GHG will be foam filled this upcoming season.

Thanks guys.

I've been using Quack Decoys since 1976! Seen them all come and go but i still have my Quacks and still buy 'em!! You get what you pay for!

I have to agree with.you about Quack Decoys.......tough decoys
that just last forever. Quality decoys made in the USA and Ken stands
behind his decoys!

Tim

Funny, I used to run some quacks.

Had both goose shells and eiders. Paint never stuck to em' and the eiders cracked and leaked pretty bad. But it's like anything, i'm sure it's just my bad luck. Hahaha

Hi Brian,

Birds look they've been good and used. I like that. Do you have any sleds? Want a set for next year?

Nate Grace

I don't have any personally. I have used them on Long Island with my friend Bill. He has some old 'coot' sleds he has had since he was a kid. They are pretty cool.

I'd use em' if I had em'!

OK, cool. I am making a bunch this summer and I usually have odds and ends left over. I'll make you a set. There may be some scoters in the bunch too.

Nate

Brian,
I like the wood decoys in your rig. I own several Quack Decoys
and have had a few issues, but not many (my decoys don't get used
as hard as yours).
Kind of surprised your rig isn't all cork and wood decoys.

Tim

I know the duck hunting season has been poor, but really;using your decoys for practice shots MY,MY MY. but on the other hand you can use them for fire wood next season. Sorry just joke'g.

Throw them on the grill and serve on a bed of wild rice- I bet they taste better than a real sea duck!
I'll eat a scoter over a greenhead, teal or wood duck any day of the week. have yet to shoot an eider.....I'll have to get back to you on that
