tilt boat trailer question

This morning I could not get my boat in the water because I ran out of ramp because the lake was so low...where the concrete ends there was an 8" drop off into a foot of goo and I didn't want to get the Jeep stuck in that. What I need for places like that is a trailer that tilts up so the boat can slide off, likewise it would help when I want to crank the boat back up on the bunks. I am wondering whether the guy at the machine/welding shop can convert my Shorelander Tadpull trailer or maybe I should just buy one that's designed to tilt. Anyone made this kind of modification on their boat trailer? Or want to suggest a brand of trailer? I am hauling a 14' Carsten's Canvasback.
