reynolds went last month, sharp and blohm go in January, rothe left last year, other state guys retiring also, you are seeing your share of usgs guys go too. Changing of the guard.

I think Spencer Vaa has been a great guy for both the waterfowl and the hunters... and in a lot more states then just SD. A very realistic and straight forward biologist. We will miss his knowledge and influence.
Couldn't the feds give him just one teal season for SD? :-) I know that was a dream of his for years.

Are you referring to Larry Alan Reynolds, aka LAR? He was one of the first people I ever met on the net and used to come around this site. Haven't seen his name years. Of course you could be referring to another Reynolds.

Larry Reynolds is the waterfowl biologist for Louisiana. Ron Reynolds is the biologist who recently retired from the FWS Habitat and Population Evaluation Team in Bismarck. You may have read about him in a Delta magazine or two.

Brad,

I know. It's a changing of the guard to the computer geeks. Just sad to see so many with "in the field experience" leaving. I was amazed at how the average age of the Cetral Flyway Council had changed, and will change even more. Dave gave a great overview of how good duck populations are! You at SRC?

Eric, that's what I am here for.

Clint, yep. Scary consider who is next in seniority in your business and mine. Dave said you were full of stories from down south. Interesting times, ride it for what it is worth.
