Ahh....now I see. Nice design on that cross-member.

re washer and pin. I am wondering about a "washer" made from old inner tube so the ends of your poles would fit through snugly - and minimize rattling. One long piece of oval/rectangular rubber could have the 2 holes bored through it for the pole ends - then be glued right onto the pontoon. Then, cut the pole ends just short enough so you could use lynch pins to hold them. And, I would attach the lynch pins to the pontoons with twine/decoy line so they would not get lost (although some spares in the truck might be a good idea).

Thanks Steve, I made the fittings on purpose with a little slop to them so they would go together in the dark easily. My drilling was a little off anyway so the old handrail that I used for my connecting rods fits the 2 "pvc receptacle good. Good idea on the rubber to help on noise, especially with that cross member being a dog platform . Today my mission is to find a piece of rubber from some other use that can be salvaged into a duck blind part. To keep all the small parts together I was thinking of embedding a small box in the top of the tube and glassing it in,and keeping spares in the truck.
 






Making some progress on the float. Mocked up the blind. Its just conduit and wire at the moment. I will need to cut the dog door/hole. Im thinking some sort of sponge type mat on the dog platform. Painted with LSB #28 DARK.
