Good morning, Troy~

Great photos! Sure looks North Woods to my eye.

Do I see a muddy shoreline because your spot is tidally-influenced? I cannot ID the tall grass into which that Hen tried to escape - maybe one of the larger Spartinas ?.

All the best,

SJS

Looks to be a Carex. Troy, is the stem triangular?

Beautiful pictures Troy. My wife was in Maine last week but said its still quite warm. Not so on the left coast.

Troy, looks like there should be grouse near by (though what I know about grouse is pretty small). You ever do duck and grouse hunts in a day?

Gorgeous fall colors. I hope that you and Pearl have an outstanding season.

Thanks Dani, yes we do waterfowl and upland hunts about every time out up there. We typically duck hunt for first couple hours then go get coffee, switch guns and shells and then upland hunt afterwards. It's truly a great place, the fishing for brook trout and landlocked salmon is equally as good. A good season to you as well.
