Todays Wisconsin Opener Was A Great Success!

Last Sunday duck season closed, which made today (first Saturday after the duck closing), the first day of decoy making season.

Cleaned about 75% of my shop (wish I could post pics), and finished up an antique style swimming can hen (must finish this one before Christmas as it is a customers gift for his wife), and a pair Moak style American mergies.

If the blizzard and falling temps tomorrow, keep me out of the shop, at least I can paint in the house.

Hope everyone in the upper midwest is safe riding out this storm. Mike

Ryan - We hunted today (in safe circumstances) in blizzard like conditions with winds that were called to gust up to 50mph. And, I've only read about the infamous Armitice Day Storm. I think we got a taste of it today. We all shot our ducks as even the ducks wanted out of this storm.

May God rest the souls of any waterfowlers that lose thier lives to extreme weather... While I admire the courage, they're only ducks and not worth dying for... Pat

Mike,
I still plan to make a return trip down to see you now that season is over. When I am there I am going to teach you to post pictures if it takes all day. Mostly because I don't believe that shop is capable of being 75% clean. Ha!

I know exactly what Mike is talking about. I cleaned 75% of my shop to lay out the deks and rework some. The other 25% of the shop now has all of the crap stuffed into it.
