Its all about Building that Bond.

Dave,

I am not aware of any connection to Herters. If you looked at them you would see a MUCH better quality decoy than Herters. Toledo decoys have urathane bodies that are burlaped and high density urathane heads and are practically indestructable while Herters uses polystyrene bodies and hollow plastic heads that routinely break in the cold. No contest.

I have 10 dozen or so Toledo decoys and for diver hunting wouldn't have anything else.

Bob,

What species are you looking for? I have Blue Bills, Red Heads, Goldeneye, Old Squaw. The BB, RH and GE are all on the same size body, the largest diver he sells. The OS are on a bit smaller body. Here are a couple.

GE's in the fog. Not all of these are Tom's. Front row way on the right are Marv Meyers. Front row way on the left I think is a Lee Harker and one of mine. Front row middle are a couple of Yukon Mike's. I'm pretty sure the back row are all Tom's birds.

Tell me what you want to see and I'll take a couple.

Blue Bills, Red Heads and Cans if you have them
and a closer view of a GE
Thanks Pete

Dave,
Toledo decoys are tough as nails, his urethane decoys are solid and built for a life time of use,you will not be disappointed. I especially like his super mags.
Bill.

Thanks for the info on toledo decoys, maybe thats where herters came up with the construction of their burlap decoys?
I have been to the factory in Beaver Dam WI to see the burlap process, to bad it moved outside, another story,
don't even know if the herters burlap blocks are still in production.

Don't discount his puddlers either!

I have a half-dozen black duck blocks from Tom and wouldn't trade them. I'd only add hand-carved cedar to supplement the rig.

On the diver front -- a friend of mine ordered magnum buffies from Tom, and they are very nice.
