Thanks Steve for your input. I have decided to go with Andrew advice and bite the bullet or rather cut the support. I have also come the conclusion that a double decker probably isn't going to work. I may have room on the front half of the trailer, but will have to wait and see what I end up with for a trailer. I found one, but it's for a 20' boat, so I would have to pull the tongue off and make another, not that big of a deal, but there is also the question of how the boat will fit. Luckily a buddy owns it and I can try a few things before I buy.
Pete, I played with the math for a bit, and looking at a similar boat of that size, I think I could put a 250 hp on it without a problem. But will probably end up with a 150 hp at the end of the day. Need to see how it comes out.
I hope to be finish with the boat and the trailer by the end of August and as of now I am on schedule.
Justin thanks for you input. I have seen a couple single axles that might work, but most trailers of that size are tandem and again I think found one. And yes, it will have sometype of brakes. I would prefer electric, but in my price range it will probably be surge brakes.
