tubing for spray shield

what size aluminum conduit tubing should I use for a spray sheild for my barnegat. the fittings I have are 3/4 inch . is this the correct size galv. dosent fit so I surmise that aluminum is the way to go especially since I hunt salt water

I used 7/8 aluminum on my dodger, but believe 3/4 would work fine. Bought matching 7/8 " Bimini hardware from http://www.rochfordsupply.com/product_listing.asp_Q_CatID_E_409_A_SubCatID_E_433, which fit great. I think the aluminum tubing is measured O.D. and conduit is I.D. Used a 3/4" conduit bender to make the bows (and with the cost of aluminum tubing, some 3/4 conduite for practice).

I use 3/4" aluminum on my BBSB. It is a bit tough to come by at a reasonable price. The local marinas were getting $5/foot. I just recently ordered some off the internet at Onlinemetals.com. Here is the site http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=4784&step=4&showunits=inches&id=71&top_cat=0
Shipping costs were not too hatefull, I still saved a lot compared to the local prices. They do a great job packing it, the packaging is extremely rigid. I ordered two 8' sections and not even UPS could put a kink in it.

6061-T6 3/4 O.D. aluminum tubing comes in .035, .049, .058, .065, .083 wall thickness.
