I have gotten one the last couple years because I showed the BBSB. This year I plan to show the Scooter, and maybe the Pondbox and maybe talk Brian into showing his sneakbox too.... Have the entry packets been sent yet? Anyone get theirs?

TIA,

If you PM me an e-mail address I can send you an exhibitor application, or a mailing address if you'd like a hard copy. If anyone wants to enter carvings or any other contest, the rules are posted on www.oceancountyparks.com. Click on Programs , Special Events, then Decoy & Gunning Show. The vendor/exhibitor applications are not listed and have to be requested individually, in order to weed out the bathtub resurfacers, etc., who try to get into the show.

Hiya Tony, I've been lurking for some time. The kids getting older and doing their own thing is giving me more time for hunting and carving so I'm starting to spend a bit more time on related websites.

John, Changes to the contests are decided at several show committee meetings during the winter after the show. The rules for this year's show have already been printed (about three cases worth!) so no contest changes can be made for this September. One factor that is taken into consideration when adding or dropping contests is the number of competitors. A few contests, mostly carving, were dropped because there was just not enough competition to justify the plaques, ribbons and volunteered time of the judges. I will add your suggestion to the discussion at the first post-show meeting.

Thank you. I participate in many contests around the east coast and majority of the competitors come for the open contests. I hear tons of flack from guys about getting rid of the two man duck contest we used to have a few years ago. I think it would be sensible to bring it back and work on some big prize packages, decoys. Gear etc those are what draw the crowds. I'd love to see our contest turn around. I understand the lack of judges has Also hurt us. But they're out there. let me know if you need help planning

German, We need to get a open water layout shooting contest going at Tuckerton along with the sneak box shoot. I'll donate the layout boat to the event to keep for use and possible donate a 2 man to hold a thrower. This is done in Michigan at a show and is very very popular. And layout hunting is getting pretty popular in NJ too now days. Would draw a crowd Id bet.

German, sent you this in a PM too a couple weeks ago, but have not seen the package so perhaps you have not seen the notice:
German, did not realize you were active here! Good to see that you are. Please email me or send me an exhibitor package.
