Turkey decoy help needed

Decoy I have been working on for a Forum member. Foam body with basswood head. I textured it in drywall spray and flex paint to help break the smooth edges.
Does anyone have a simple paint scheme I can use for inspiration? I already started painting it once and didnt like how it was coming out.

Im obsessed with the realsim in my turkey decoys.. Looking for a good hen decoy this past spring I came across this decoy... It looks similar to what you are trying to create.. I hope it helps

jump on that "simple paint scheme" of the WIDOWMAKER Derek........you should be able to knock that out in under an hour.....

derek, great project! ive always wanted to do canvas body turkey. the head looks great. cant help too much with paint but when i think of the head, i think airbrush! try getting your base colors down, blended together and i think it will all come together for you. simpler the better. great work. mark

Airbrush- Mark your killin me, I can barely handle a crayon, you've seen my decoy painting. That widow-maker looks like what I need, does anyone have a side profile view?
The more I look at this deek, it needs a body with more excitement, i may just hack it off and start over.
