Update from MO

Great looking greenwings. Make sure Hitch doesn't fall out of the boat if he see's any Canada geese, and for god's sake when referring to a goose call don't say "Hit em.." this apparently is Cracker for Take em.

LOL

Hitch told me about'em on the phone and the pictures he took today. Can't wait to see them myself. You guys must have had a blast and on a blue bird day to boot!

Thank you everyone at Team MoMarsh. I had a great time with Ira, Eric, Mark, John, Tony, Lindey, and Clark. It was an unforgettable time. I got a chance to sample the hunting traditions and cooking at the duck headquarters, and the shooting was great, with camera and gun. I shot photos all morning with Ira, Eric and John, then they moved me over with Clarkson and Mark, shot more photos and then a limit of ducks. And Mark's decoys are incredible! Some are floating out front in the photo of Mark and Clarkson.

I'll call this one "Last moments"

This one landin long which was a smart thing to do.

The greenies were sucking right in to Mark's hand carved and painted decoys. Lots of drake greenwing flying.

And this one was spared as well. Too pretty to shoot with a gun... right Mark?

Again - Thanks for a great time

Looks like a great time...

Today's weather was great... all the birds from last weeks cold weather were just sitting and flying around enjoying the 60 degree temps! I had geese sitting on my lake all day... Only one was banded... =)

Hitch, looks like in my haste to get home, I ended up with your sandals and boots. Hope that your toes dont get too cold in IA!!!! Let me know what you want to do with them.

Pics look great! It was a good time and it was nice to spend some time with you.

Charlie, yes, we hunted on our farm. It has been really cool to see some of our management strategies paying off. Still lots to learn and try for next year!

I didn't shoot that pintail just so would be able to take more pictures of it in flight, and on the water.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Neat pics. Did you get any good ones of the teal in flight or on the water. I know the cans were in bad light but would love to see what you got.

Glad you got to sneek over for a hunt, I enjoyed the day. Drive safe, Clarkson hit a nice buck last night on our way back and tore up his truck pretty bad. The buck will look good on the wall!hehehehehehe

I'm back in MO again after spending a nice 2 day break with Tim at his place out in the boonies. The boat trailer was iced in, so we watched a few movies, ate some good food and just caught up on things.

Tomorrow I'll be hunting with some of my friends here again. I'm not sure where we'll be going though.

I had time to go back through some of the photos of the hunt with Ira and Mark. I had many good shots from the hunts, so here are a few more.

And here are a couple of nice Can drakes that buzzed us skeet style just out of range and set beyond the decoys.

Hitch, thanks for the pic's! Not a bad little shoot for Banker's Ducks on the farm. Just wait till they get it all dialed in and figured out. It's going to be one helluva spot. I don't get home very often so I really enjoy these hunts. Thanks to every one at MoMarsh! Drive safe and have a great trip!

P.S. The Whitetail was an 8 pointer with 11 1/2" top tines, add in the kickers and the crab claw and he's a 13 point, best deer I've ever killed. As Mark says I need to mount him on a dented door panel...
