Where do you atach the anchor line on v-boards? I can put the line anywhere, but want to get it in the right spot. I am thinking either at the center or somewhere on the leading arm.

Andy, certainly I would mount on the center arm, unless you have a method of keeping the arms evenly spaced, refardless of the wind and currents. If you mounted in the center, I expect they will rotate. Now if you mounted it along the center arm, but not at the end, perhaps you would get less pull down of the center/lead decoy? I have a set started in the garage, trying something new.... used hinges for the connections, and usiing real geese for the silos. Have not worked all the details, but I am going for very compact for use in my BBSB. Thinking I will do 3 v-boards, just to add some geese to the spread without the bult of 9 floaters!

thanks Carl. Those are the plan I used. I just missed that detail. I made 10 sets of geese. I will post pics when I have time. I am busily getting ready for the opener tomorrow.

Wow, 10 sets, thats a bunch of work. Hope they pull in the geese for you!

BTW, I put in a small triangular block of wood at the back of the center plate to keep the trailing arms at the correct angle & keep them from folding all the way back.

I don't have any pics right now. But I did it just like the diagram above. A bolt and lock nut for each arm. The plates are 3/4" plywood I had left over. The angle stops are scrap 1x2 angled at each end to keep the arms at 120 degrees.

Those turned out real nice Andy! I still haven't finished painting mine yet. I only made 4 sets. I also used Carl's plan for mine. I went 36" on the arms.

2 sheets 1/4" plywood $50
1x2 's $15
Paint $20
bolts and screws $25
Had scrap 3/4" plywood for centers: $ ???

$110 for 10 sets
