just got a call saying my cabin reservations for next week's elk hunt are cancelled.
I made reservations and paid in full 6 months ago.

to make matters worse I am part owner of the cabin and pay some of the administrators salary..
the website I was referred to to get my refund is even shut down by the government.

I know this is a minor thing compared to some of the veterans who are traveling to Washington and are being barricaded out of the memorials and museums. But I've learned my lesson.

If a private business showed this much contemp for the people they serve they would be long gone.

My boss is on his way to the Grand Canyon tomorrow for a trip they have planned for years and have invested big $$$ into.
Grand Canyon Park is closed. Aint that special?
He is not happy. But they are getting access through the Navaho Reservation.

The whole thing is a joke. They spend more money by shutting down than if they would just keep things running.

I hear yeah. Put in for a draw to hunt opening weekend on Tule Lake Refuge for specks. Since it is federal, no hunting this weekend. So I have four days off from work with no where to go.
