That is so true. I have seen VERY high value guns referred to as "funeral" guns by their current owners. Hard to know what to say in that circumstance. Typically it is a widow who is taken advantage of, similar to real estate. Then there is the Funeral grade Fabbri at over 100K, I cringe to think what one of those can be stolen for.
 
The winchester model 21 is a great gun made with a much stronger steel than the other classics mentioned . but even the 21 duck is a little unpleasant to shoot 3 inch ammo through. I find the 2 3/4 loads hit hard and do the job well. The model 23 is an excellent duck gun also.
