I just picked up some steel 4's and 3's at Walmart for 9 bucks a box (12 gauge 3 inch 1400 fps velocity 1&1/4 oz). Good time to load up if you use that shell.

My best buy was when Kmart closed out there shells and I bought several 10 gauge shell boxes for $5 each. I still have some left.

A couple of years ago I got a mixed case of high velocity steel loads (winchester experts, federal ultra shok and speed shok) at wallyworld for $40.00 Last week when I went birding on the coast I got a good deal at the wallyworld in NH. Winchester HV experts in 4, 2, and bb's for 5 to 7 dollars a box. I picked up 7 boxes in total. I am in good shape now for next season for myself, my Dad and I have extra for my buddies if needed.

A little off the shot shell note i was at sportco in fife washington and baught 4 boxes 454 casull ammo and it rang up $11.40 i couldnt let that one go they were charging me for 45 cal realoding bullets only. I had too laugh and let the teller know there had been a mistake.
Butt when two boxes of flambeu magnum floater geese came up under $25 at GI Joes i let that one slide they just charged me for two decoys not two boxes any how thought you all would find that funny.

That would have been a smokin deal on the casulls! I think i just paid 16$ for a 100 count box of .44 cal hornady bullets for the reloading bench. Guess I am still saving a little at around 8$/50 44 mags minus powder and primers. My reloads tend to be a bit Hotter than factory loads too...
Never have really investigated cost savings on reloading non-tox shells for waterfowl. Years ago I heard it wasnt much of a savings. Anyone out there reloading anything other than loads for the trap/skeet/clays range??
