"The development of early sneak boat shooting on western Lake Erie" by Jack Wilkie, is a must read article in the new issue of Decoy Magazine. Once I began reading it, I could not put it down. My goodness, rowing miles, setting out 65 to 80 Mason Canvasback decoys, shooting 165 Cans, with two Model 97's that held 12 shells........ If you love the History of what we all enjoy doing, you will really be impressed with the article.

Read it and you have to wonder about how we get around in our boats today. Are we not Wimps?

Good article about Canvas Decoys of Massachusetts also....

Thanks for the heads up, still waiting for my copy to arrive. Sounds like a good read to pass the cabin fever.

My Cabin Fever has built a Snow Fort around the Cabin. I'm very impressed. Thank God for drawing, painting, carving, and reading...........and every once in a while "a taste".
