"Weeds" in the new corn....

...."pickleweeds," that is.

I finished cutting & painting the stakes for the additions to my pickleweed set, so I took them with me to one of the farms I hunt to see what they'd look like in the green corn. All the best fields are in corn rotation this year, so here's hoping these get plenty of use in the stubble this season.

Corn here in SW Ohio is well beyond the "knee-high by the fourth of July" stage to date.

Man those things are totally cool. I thought your idea and execution was awesome with just the bench photos. Put in the field they look even better! I must have missed the pics of the Pintails being done.
 
Glad to hear someone is having a good corn crop. We are behind here in southern Wi from this nearly month now without significant rainfall.

Great looking field deeks! To me nothing beats ducks coming into a corn field

I have a very effective solution to your "weed" problem. :>) :>) It is also a very enviroment friendly solution, no chemicals required.

BTW I wish the weeds around here looked so good, my neighbors might not complain so loudly.
