The bad thing about being self employed is you usually have to work pretty much all of the time. the good thing is if you feel like going to somebody's duck carving studio for lunch, the boss ok's it. So yesterday at for lunch I went to see Sean Sutton's new building, which he pretty much built by himself. I was there earlier this year when it was still a little rough, so I was anxious to see what his future home looks like. Here is coming in the front door:

You might notice, there is a fair number of decoys hanging around. Lots of cool tools, many of which he has made, but they are sharp and I am better off keeping them out of my hands. Now the next picture is looking from the opposite end, and it is a little dark, because I am not much of a photographer, but the cable tv is very nice so that he can watch re-runs of Oprah.

The neat part of that story is the trench that his son dug for him so he could put all of his electric lines and stuff like that in. I saw it when freshly dug, it had to be about 50 linear feet and a foot and a half deep, and was dug in like an hour. Can you imagine digging that in an hour? I almost fainted thinking about it. Here are some extinct ducks about to be reborn:

I shared my home made Cuban sandwich, and then I sat down with the good guy of the whole bunch.

Then I went back to my office, where I could safely re-enter the rat race.
