It was a very lucky year with the Pins.
I popped the eyes in and put one coat of Boiled Linseed oil on last night.
One more coat of linseed and I'm ready to prime. I bet your GE is looking great.

Kenley you know I'm not a Master anything.........I'm a hack. By the way did you freeze one of them Sprigs for painting reference.

Geoff I strop my knives ofton while carving to help maintain the edge. When I lose it I walk up the road and see Karen from Cape Forge. She sharpens there knives for FREE. Anything else I think she gets $4.00 a piece but I would ask first. I've brought her old chisels from yard sales and she's put new edges on them. If we get together and carve you're more than welcome to join us.

I ate the pintail yesterday. It would have made for great reference but it sure tasted good.
See you soon for some decoy madness. Good point on Cape Forge, I had them sharpen some old
draw knives from yard sales and they put a whicked edge on them.

you guys shooting pintails make me bumbed, i have never even seen one around here in the fall they are all over in the spring.
 
Lets set a date and place and time. I need to carve with the boys! I'm easy.. Juliet is playing basketball Saturday mornings, but I can work it out I bet. Anybody got any free time coming up soon? Lets do it. Ed
 
Ed give me a call. Evenings....days it all works for me if I'm not working. I've got a bunch of birds ready for paint and others that I'm carving.
