what gun do you use

Thanks a lot guys. A really nice representation of basically what I expected. The 870 continues the lead, followed closely by

Thank you very much everyone. I was expecting the 870 to lead but Benelli has that convincingly, and Beretta comes in third. Guess I'll have to do some work with Benelli's. Would anyone hazard a guess as to the real market nich for say Mossberg, especially with younger shooters or those newer to our sport? I feel that our group here is fairly salty and may not be truely representative of the general waterfowling community, but surveys at some DU banquets may add more light on this subject.

Again, thank you all for the help.

I have some more last place guns for ya, I went to a Smith& wesson mod. 3000 when we had to give up lead shot, but I still like to take my Ithica 37 out some too. I use a BPS-10 for geese, I retired my Ithica Mag-10 when lead was banned for ducks& geese.

Benelli M1 Super 90. Owned it for years. Don't see the need for a new gun.
Son shoots an 870 20 gauge but wants a 12 gauge semi.

Browning 12 Auto light. Gift from the wife Christmas '69.
In spite of the many shotguns I've acquired throughout the years, I keep coming back to this gun.

870 that I've had since my 16th b-day. "Well loved" now -covered with scratches and camo tape and mostly used for turkey and deer.
Beretta 686S - a 'DU' gun - for nice weather.
Just got an AL391 which I suspect will be my go-to gun.

Stay cool.

Xtrema II w/ kick off. Had a Stoeger m2000. Had to send it back three times. Constantly malfunctioned. They finally gave me my money back.

Old Mossberg 500 w/ fixed modified choke . . . I wanted a gun I don't have to worry about!

It's been dropped in the mud, skidded down river banks, submerged in salt water . . . A duck gun is a workman's tool. I take care of it for sure, but it's an old, worn slop-monster I never wince at when it's scratched or soaked or whatever.

It's dependable . . . as long as I don't drop it in the water in 15 degrees on the way out . . . I guess any gun's firing pin would freeze in that scenario!

Beretta 686 silver essential O/U. 12 gauge improved+modified chokes. 28" BBL Have had many others, but this is my go to gun for all fowling.I have used it in the salt the past 15 years and it has never misfired and the blueing still looks good.
