Spoonies get a bad rap in most of the country but they are a treat for us NJ folks. They sure work and decoy nice, like goofy looking teal.
 
I loved seeing and harvesting spoonies when I was in Mobile, beautiful birds and the ones I shot tasted just like the teal and gadwalls we had in the area.
