what would you get for a duck coat?

I have a cheap Gander Mountain shell that has worked good for me. The thing is I only wear it while under way in the boat or walking in to the blind. The rest of the time it's in my bag and I wear a Drake Equator jacket. If it's really cold I wear a wool sweater under it and a turtle neck. The shoulders and arms shed the rain pretty well and the reat is tucked into your waders. I also like the neoprene cuffs. I almost always hunt in neoprene waders so that covers most of me. The truth is I shoot alot better without a coat on!

This is what i use over my drake if we get rain on the bay..also add in a pair of grudens bibs and you will stay dry..plus they are both 100% windproof!!

Add in a layer of polartec fleece...cabelas' down long under ware and i am good to 20-25 degrees!!

I second the Kobuk Scott. A correctly sized kobuk along with a pair of waders are key for staying dry. Very effective for setting longlines by foot in the waves as well. You can take a breaking wave above your waders and stay dry if you know it's coming (don't ask me how I know). Also, the base layer of polartec fleece is key. The union bibs have the benefit of keeping your lower back covered...I live in mine all November and December. Throw in a layer of wool between the bibs and waders and you're set.

here is another combo I do..

Drake down vest over a Drake pull over...works real well on those misty days!!

yes...that guy 'aka Mike Guard" behind me is crazy!!!

i think he is doing the " look dad no hands"
