What's on your Work Bench ? August 2018

Bob
Thanks for your concern. Still have some new medical issues that have come up now that i just turned 80. but forcing my self to get in my shop a little to keep my Sanity.
Keep up the fine work you are doing on all your birds you make.
Take care Paul

George Thanks for your concern. Yes the can heads have a lot of different values of color in the paint job.
Keep the chips flying. Nice job on your latest birds.
Paul

Dax, just think about turning half into speckled teal, then you will have lots of time to get that half finished. Get cracking, fela. Get them all carved before you start the paint thing. Make at least one drake in full plumage--This time of year, all those bluewings look like hens!.
Have fun![;)]

All I need to do to finish is to pour lead in the keels. HOWEVER, I am trying my best not to heat the atmosphere any more than it is already. That little flock is already spoken for, Paul.[laugh]

It's always a pleasure to see someone turn a piece of wood into a specific species with so few knife strokes! D. Hinton, VERY nice work. Congratulations!

Good morning, Tony~

Great birds! I especially like the paint scheme on that Butterball - elegantly bold.

All the best,

SJS

Tony, love the canvas bird

Tom, those urns look great too.
Excellent work this month, seems everyone is getting stuff done right before season gets here

Thanks for the post-up, Steve.
Littlest of the divers! That was off my buffy pattern with tweaking. Still do not have sides down completely. Probably because I have made less than 20 since starting this craziness. Thank heavens for specimens.
Thanks again.[;)]

Love this little Ruddys! I could use a little guidance.

I am getting back into a little carving, (after being totally absent for the past 20 or so years). I am finishing up a Bufflehead for a gift right now, (I'll post a few pics when it's finished), then I have plans to do a Red Breasted Merganser as another gift, THEN have plans to do a pair of "old school" black cork Ruddys for my rig.

Thanks for sharing.

Jon
