Beautiful work by everyone again this month.
Mr. Hillman I love the rooster!! The paint has great saturation and vibrancy excellent job.
I just got a new vise and some apoxie sculpt I'm going to try it for setting the eyes.
Back to decoys for me

Thanks Patrick. I like to paint as vibrant as possible.

Kudos on the Wilton! They are as good as it gets. That thing looks like it's brand new.

Yes brand new. Amazon prime days sale plus open box discount, 25% prime discount and a few points applied.
$175.00 could say no to it.

Wow, that's a great buy!!!! Enjoy

I just finished making these up as gifts for some friends. Every time we come home from a NJ fishing trip we get together the next night and fry up all the fish we caught for friends and family. So I made each of the boys(6 of us) a beer caddy out of Poplar. They are a little longer and wider than most of the plans you find online because I lined the inside with closed cell foam insulation to keep the beer cold longer. Kind of a cheesy project, but it was fun!

This one went to another friend and coworker. Also poplar, with Oak dowels to join the sides and bottom. The grain pattern was too nice to stain/paint over.

I also put this together back on June 1st. Just one for me on my small 8x8 deck. All pressure treated and stainless hardware so it will last. Next summer it will get a coat of exterior paint. It needs some improvements like slightly higher arm rests, a cup holder, maybe add a bottle opener. But with a cheap cushion it is plenty comfortable and solid as a rock for a big guy. A friend has now commissioned a set of 4 for around her fire ring at her campground.

Nice work Charles. Those beer caddies talk to me. [smile]

It might be interesting to make one as a shell caddie/mini gunning box. Leave the lid solid and hinge it or install as a slider, I bet a couple boxes of shells and a pair of gloves would fit. The handle looks plenty sturdy to rest the gun barrel on.

SJ, Some kind of gunning box is on the schedule for this summer as well as a tackle box..... and replacing my deck.... and building a blind for my boat.... and a dog crate/TV stand... and maybe a paver patio.... and maybe at some point 6-12 black ducks for the Jersey marshes this fall. It really never ends!

Wow, your to-do list is pretty stout. Yesterday I built the stands to support a rail skiff build. That's a full plate for me.

Very nice, Bob!

Here is a pair of Cans - From the Bench of George Williams. They are his first carving post shoulder surgery.

This little aero-plane is for my Grandson. Susan and I have not seen my daughter's family since Christmas 2019 - as they live in Berlin.

The "pilot" will turn 4 in October.

Before we leave JFK, I will deliver another ramp to my Mom's home. We hope she will return there (now rehabbing broken hip and shoulder) before we get back from across the Pond. A pair of Mahogany handrails will get bolted on during installation.

All the best,
