Picked up a set of spruce oars from marketplace last week and repainted them in duck boat drab & dead dull grass

Nice looking oars! I am intrigued by one in the first photo. It looks like the blade still need final shaping/thinning. Are the a Pete Culler design?

I just looked more closely at the photo. What I thought was a thick blade was paint!

Hi Steve, Im not sure who made the oars what I do know they are one piece sitka spruce and they came off a dory. They have the look as hand made do to the measurements vary from one another. The blades are on the narrow side compared to what I am replacing, even the tips are fiberglass reinforced so I couldn't pass them up at 25 bucks for the pair and a nice ride with my wife to West Hampton and a pit stop to Olish farms for a apple pie.
