Didn't have any classes today so I asked my sister if she wanted to go out ice fishing for the day and she said sure! It was been in the teens the past week and today it made it up to 40 which made for a perfect day to ice fish we had around 7 inches of ice. We Started the day with finding a school of bluegill and got around 10 on the jigging rods and while catching them we look at the tip ups and see two flags up! Double Header, on two bass! After the bass things slowed down and picked away at sunnies for the next couple hours ended up getting around 20 small bluegills and 2 bass was a fun day!!

Now that looks like fun, Wesley. Enjoyed those pictures. I'll bet that fish fry was wonderful.

While you were ice fishing I was wandering around the yard doing some clean up work, lopping roses, watering trees etc, in my t-shirt. After all it was 71F and very nice.

Very nice, I've never done any ice fishing myself. Spent last Saturday at the Canyon Runner seminar in AC, nothing like talking offshore fishing all day to make you realize you need to wait four more months to do anything...

Thanks Guys! It was a good day! Craig it is pretty fun even just catching the little bluegills on the light rods. Nothing like catching a tuna but still a little fun! But, I wish I knew a little more about it and how to locate the fish more when it is cold and all but its a learning process!

Good job. Looks like you had fun.
7 inches of ice, we haven't had that for a month and a half. :) I didn't measure it last weekend but I think a dozen semi truck could have parked on the lake. No extension needed but I was getting pretty low with the auger. You caught more then I did. Only one bite, had a walleye get off at the bottom of the hole.
