Who else was at Saw Mill today (hot day)

That's a cool place to hunt with the NY skyline right there. Never gunned there, but we all see it from the turnpike. Do you ever hunt the impoundments?
 
There were birds there for opener, there are not birds there now. I can tell you because I hunted yesterday and didn't see much. Whatever that was on opening day, it's gone now. Moon, weather change, etc.

It's feast or famine there. For me it's like an ex-girlfriend, I keep going back thinking "it will be different this time!" Not really.
 
If you like mud and skybusters it's great! The juice ain't worth the squeeze no matter what DU magazine likes to print.

This is Saw Mill Creek on Staten Island? You guys hunt there? Ballsy ploy. I'd be afraid SWAT would be waiting at the boat launch, or my decoy anchors would get hung up on somebody sleeping with the fishes.

Thanks, I vaguely remember seeing a blind or two in there as I sat in traffic on 95. Can't get the visual of somebody in concrete shoes out of my head though.
