heat, scrape, acetone or lighter fluid works like a charm to remove residual goop.

Cheap, easy.

Just wear gloves.

Hey all thanks a bunch. The heat gun trick works awesome, and the leftover adhesive comes off with some solvent and elbow grease. The stickers came off a lot easier than the glue...

I still have a bunch to take off before I prep for paint, but I wanted to report back and say thanks to everyone. This is a lot easier for me and a lot less expensive than buying a bunch of specialty tools and chemicals.

Use the spray on remover and then clean it up with mineral spirits. Stay away from the eraser disk that fits a drill bit as it will burn through and burn your finish (it did mine anyway).

You Gonna use Lou's FME to paint the hull ?

Yes, I am definitely using FME. My only question is which of the open water grays to use - light/med/dark... Probably medium, but I need to get off the fence one way or another before I call Lou with my order.
