Who's into extreme sports?

No F'ing way!!! I've never wanted to jump out of a perfectly good airplane either!

That would be sick to watch on an IMax screen. The guy toward the end of the film summed up my sentiments exactly...."Holy $#!&!"

Wow!

That's nuts!! When it first started I was thinking "no big deal" but after a couple of minutes my butt was puckering every time he jumped to a new spot.

If you guys want to see some incredible films, try to see the Banff Mtn Film Festival World Tour.

There is a film called "20 seconds of joy" that was pretty amazing until the sad end. This documents Karina Hollekim and her dedication to BASE jumping. Documentary film maker Jens Hoffman first met the now 30-year-old Norwegian in 2002. He immediately started to film, accompanying her through many stages of her BASE-jumping career, until it comes to a sudden stop, changing all aspects of her life.

Reinforces why I don't own a parachute.

The other films are not as heavy, but quite entertaining.

As for the speed climbing vid....that was featured on a past B.Mtn tour..... the guy may know that route very well, but he is still crazy (in my opinion).

Thats pretty wild. I have almost 500 skydives and one base jump (from a bridge- not a cliff), but I have never flown a wing suit. And to think there are a couple of guys out there testing different versions and one day they plan to land the suit. Well try to land it atleast. Check out youtube and do a search for luigi cani or jeb corliss

How fricken fast are those guys going? I was waiting for them to turn a corner on the mountain and clip a bush..too close to the edge for me.

No he isn't crazy....He's dead. Had to google him because I was sure he couldn't live long without any margin for error and I was right. It's best to find out you're not perfect closer to the ground.

That wing suit is kind of cool but I don't think I will sign up for it any time soon. It's amazing how much forward speed they have. I saw where they want to be able to land without a chute. That is crazy since you would only get one chance to get it right.

Marriage should be like that. Then you wouldn't have to do it again ;O)

Pete those guys are a bunch of wooses, real men know what excitment is and I'm one of them...........hell, I even tie flys and collect bird hunting books. Now that's real excitement! Judy has been trying to get me to do needlepoint, but that is WAAAY too dangerous!

Not sure of the exact speed of these guys, but a typical skydive from 13,000 ft will last about 60 seconds and with the wing suit that can be increased to as much as 3 minutes The average forward speed for most wing suits it about 60mph
