No doubt Gary March has "boated" more widgeon than most of us will see in a lifetime, so I'd venture he knows what works for sure.

Heck, he has as many as I have ever killed in that one picture alone!

For some reason I like the lighter color. I think I will paint the next batch that shade and see what happens. The other details of both your decoys is right about where I end up as well.

By the way do have a wigeon drake specimen in the freezer.

This is the first year I am trying the lighter color Andy. I'll let you know what I think. I do not have any wigeon in the freezer. They have already hit the grill... Pat
