Phil, changing that tire sure was interesting. Luckily there was a very nice gentleman who had the afternoon off and so he was out and about and he offered to help us. Even ran home to get some bigger tools (needed a long breaker bar) and came back and helped us out.
Jay, it was a very slow year for where we were. A normal day would have have about 10-15 bird contacts an hour is what I've been told. That said, it was waaaaaaaay better than what we see in FL. Next season there will be a pointy dog in the string. Steve is picking up an english setter puppy in a little less than a month and we are planning on introducing her to woodcock next winter. I would bet that in the thick stuff where we were, a pointy dog would have been "better" if nothing else because we'd have had better chances at seeing the birds before they flushed.
It was a lot of fun though....
