Yesterday I was taking Flint to the vet for a checkup when I got t-boned at a red light she was eating while driving. My truck flipped 4 times and threw the dog and the crate out (and it was tied down) The dog was running around in circles by the time I was able to kick out my window and crawl out. If he was running loose in the bed of my truck Im sure he would be dead. He got a bloody nose and was checked out by an great vet (you know who you are) and is totally ok.

wow-Sobie hates the crate but she definitely will ride in it now. I am glad to see you and your bud made it ok.

jeeeezusss the big fella was looking out for you guys ,,,amen

Miss Daisy rides loose behind the back seat she usualy puts her muzzle on the console between the seats for me to rub while she snoozes on our drives...

Glad you both are alright but you both will be finding sore spots for some time to come so keep an eye on your dog. Hope the guy who hit you gets what's coming to him or her.

Thank the good Lord. Woody is always in a crate however the crate is in the bed and only lightly secured. I will see what I can do about making sure that it stays in the bed. Say your prayers!!!

That's some seriously scary #%@$! My dogs are lose in my truck and I've heard it for years that it's dangerous. If we're going on a road trip-especially a hunting trip they're usaully crated. Mine too likes to sit in the back and put his head on the console. Glad to see you're both okay. Sorry about the truck...hopefully that wench was insured.

Thanks guys for the well wishes, we are very blessed. The lady was insured and I am getting a check for 1000.00 less than I paid for the truck 4 years ago. So now I have to go look for a new truck :(

Man alive!
Glad you both came through it all relative unhurt.
If you need a ride in the meantime, my boat's essentially complete and I'll be glad to haul you out.
I'm gone this weekend on an interview (wish me luck), but anytime between Tuesday and Christmas is game on.

glad you and the pup are ok, also glad to hear someone actually had insurance. Good luck on the new truck hunt.

Be sure to not sign a waiver just for truck damage...if there is a chance you or the dog may have injuries..get that paid for too. I'm not sue happy but with the cost of insurance...somebody should get something out of it. Glad you and the pup were able to walk away..not long ago here, two people were killed in a vehicle that didn't look half as bad as yours.

Glad to see you and Flint are OK. Boy will that put a bad association with going to the vet! Our dogs prefer to ride in the crate even though they are inside the cab. All dogs should love their crates, life is just easier when they are inside. I think one reason is their comfort, they won't roll off the seat when they are in the crate. Good luck.

Glad you and Flint came out of that one with only stiffness and dirty shorts! Give thanks to the Lord for your safety. We had to give Flint a bath at the clinic, apparently the event scared the &#@% out of him. Let me know if he needs anything.

Brian

ps-Your not missing out on any birds, so rest up.

Man Jonathon, when I first was that picture I could only think, oh Lord no. So glad you two are okay. You dodged a big one there. Ibuprofen!!!

Jonathan

If I didn't know any better I'd say that car was in a fatal accident. Glad you and your dog came through with no major injuries.
