    18th Century Battleship

Wow. Amazing engineering. The complexity of the crew drills to make all that work to control the ship must have been mind boggling. Thanks for sharing!

    My Workshop Tour

Eric, The shop really turned out nice. You did an outstanding job laying out, finishing, and equipping it. Only shortcoming I can see is you need to find a bigger bandsaw; the one you have now looks a little small for most woodworking jobs ;) v/r Bill

You Know The Kid In My Avatar?

Eric, Tell Thomas I said congratulations- what a fine young man he has become! Know you must be proud. -Bill

    Gas-Oil ratio for 2 strokes

Jeff, As others have said, it will run fine, but watch/change plugs. My 2004's owner's manual says use 25:1 for breakin, then go to 100:1 after that. A lot of people use 50:1 as they feel better protected from corrosion and engine wear. v/r Bill

    I have rusty balls

Dave, Interesting. Never seen that before, but have heard of red lead pigment. Was curious, so I did an internet search and apparently there are different chemical compositions of lead oxide which produce differing colors. Most older lead I've seen either picked up a dark coat or if really...

    NDR-cataract surgery

I watched the video on youtube AFTER my surgeries- am really glad I did not watch it before.

    NDR-cataract surgery

Dwight, Amazing how cataracts slowly steal your vision, and how great things look right after the surgery. Talk with your surgeon and see what they think. I know some of the older multifocals had some quirks, but the technology has been evolving and getting better. For me, I had right eye in...

Recommmended mastic for trestle coating bead foam bodies

Bruce, Looks like HF has 2 grades of walnut shell. Do you use coarse or fine? Thanks, Bill

Recommmended mastic for trestle coating bead foam bodies

+1 on the ready mix mastic from a big box store. I used AcrylPro over landscape burlap from the garden section. 2 coats- fist to bond to the foam and saturate the burlap. 1st coat starts out over the foam and fills any voids, but should not be too thick as it adds unneeded weight and wastes...

    Decoy weights

Phil, Glad you found what you are looking for. Believe those are called "bank" sinkers.

    Shallow Water Pole Anchors

Dave, Very nice and thanks for sharing. That should work for duck or fishing. I especially like the added floatation. If more of my gear had floatation, I wouldn't need to keep a magnet in the boat! v/r Bill

    Scaup Summer Cruise and Porpoising

Dave, This is awesome. I like the bimini and anchor stake. Do you have more details on the stake? I think it would be a great add on my son's Cackler since he fishes from the boat (sort of a poor man's power pole). v/r Bill

    Anyone recognize this boat?

Dave, Thanks. I see it now. The raised portion threw me off. v/r Bill
