    NEW Duck Boss 16

I personally think this is a game changer and will probably sell very well when offered here in the NE. This fills a big need for someone who needs something just a tad bigger than the 13 but not as big as something in a sea-class 17-18'. The fact you guys are actually building your own mold...

    DuckBoss13

Tuck As @Dave Diefenderfer mentioned, there are a couple custom jobs people have had made. I know for a fact that Brock from Duck Boss also makes flappers you can buy that fit.

Last Week of the Season: Who's Hunting?

If that's your house in the background...that's really cool. It would be a dream come true to hunt my own property.

    Dodger advice

Steve, The one you did for the DI13 would be spot on. It was an interesting and very well thought out design, specifically for that rig.

    Dodger advice

That's the one. I think he had a thread dedicated to all the mods he did for a customer on a Duck Invader 13, as well.

Tim, @Steve Sanford I believe designed one for someone similar to that. I tried to find the post but couldn't locate it.

Last Week of the Season: Who's Hunting?

Put in my last hunt for the season yesterday. Arrived at spot #1 at 5am. Immediately started to get ready. Luckily, I decided to check the ramp before loading the boat and unhooking everything. Good thing I did. The NNW wind from the night had blown all the ice onto the ramp and the water was a...

    Roy Schellinger High Boat... Plans?

Kurt, As @jode hillman mentioned, they are fiberglass built from a mold. You would need the mold to actually recreate the boat. Some folks have used their imagination and adapted something similar. I have a buddy who took an old ski boat hull, and basically made a Roy High Box/Duck Invader...

NEW Flapper Boards for Duck Boss 13

Richard, you can do a few things. You can do like Brock said and use the push button pins. I personally bolted mine on with SS bolts, a washer on each end, and a nylock SS nut. I use bungee cord run from the end of each flapper to a small hook on the underside of my rub rail. I trailer with them...

Last Week of the Season: Who's Hunting?

God willing, Thursday for me. Everything is locked up here. Hoping at least something opens up with the weather we're having today, tomorrow, and Wednesday.

"We're gonna need a bigger boat"

Nick, to add on to what @tod osier , its God awfully hard to hide a big boat. I started on divers, but then quickly went to puddle ducks. I'm sure as you know, hiding for wary puddle ducks here is rough. Big boats with higher blinds have a hard time. Even then, it's not easy being a solely a...

    Snow on the Gulf Coast

That was actually the first thing I thought about when I saw you guys got snow. Lucky for you guys, it seems to be mostly conifers and smaller deciduous broad-leafs. About a decade ago we had a freak large snow storm here in NJ in early October with all the leaves still on the trees. It was the...

"We're gonna need a bigger boat"

Nick, you're blessed to have that hunting crew. One thing I'll say, there's a fine line between big enough, and too big. I know with puddle ducks, here in NJ, 17' is pushing it for the skinny water. One really nasty problem you may have is also getting in and out of areas to get into spots. For...

Well that didn't go like it was supposed to... motor trouble question?!?!?!?!

I have a buddy that buys the VP racing fuel here in the cans for a decent chunk of change. He's running a 2-stroke though, and it's all pre-mix. That, to me, isn't a bad option. No mixing, no hassle, all ethanol-free. It's very expensive though. Ironically, I have one of the only VP gas...

Well that didn't go like it was supposed to... motor trouble question?!?!?!?!

Ouch. 6 gallon tank, 22L so I suppose at $4 a gallon that's $90 (rounded). I suppose it's still better than having to pull apart an FI system. Looks like the road trip to PA might be worth it. Take my son to Cabela's while I'm out there.
