Weather sure looks horrible from the mid-Atlantic Coast North, classic Nor'Easter pattern.
My hometown is forecasted to get 1'-2' before its over.
How are our members in the storm path faring??
You could just give them all an A for effort and call it a week.
Just sayin'....
Right at 20" here at the moment. Not the biggest snow total, but it's wet. It sticks to everything, the shovel, the plow, my clothes. Great for making snowballs and snowmen. Underwhelming wind, not impressed. Good news is i had a meeting tonight that got cancelled. Came home from snowsledding and ice fishing for work and met this shit show.![]()

We're on the coast, I wish it was five degrees colder to make the fluffy stuff. I think the worst will be digging out the mailbox. This wet stuff is like semi frozen mashed potatoes, in a five foot deep pile the town plow left. The neighbors 12 year old is due this afternoon for shovel duty. He was game in the last one when it was the dry fluffy light variety. That was about 18", today appears headed for 24". He's gonna be tested. I hope he can do it, it's nice having a young guy pitching in.We are super light and fluffy inland. It has been dumping, I'm interested to see where we end up.
18"...... no power since 5 AM but plenty of wood for the stove and generator can run the necessities. Good news is it will melt fast. Not like the stuff we had for the last month!Weather sure looks horrible from the mid-Atlantic Coast North, classic Nor'Easter pattern.

They're estimating our restoration of power not until Thursday afternoon! Good thing my little Homestead is pretty much self-sufficientReal bad here in NJ. I am in the north, off the water. 20" of snow here. Last night I woke up to go to the bathroom and it was a real deal blizzard outside. Whiteout conditions, 60 mph winds, and drifting snow. The coastal areas from Long Beach Island to Sandy Hook I'm being told got crushed. They had wind gusts to 80mph, widespread power outages, 24"+ of snow, with coastal flooding to top it off. This was a real one for us.
Thankfully, it seems that wherever you clear the snow today it's melting and going to bare pavement quick.
I'm all dug out, and the youngster came through for stairs, decks and breezeways. The snowfall prediction was close, the end of the world power loss prediction was BS. We never got a blip and I live in the woods. Two of my sisters live in RI, they got over 30" and it's still coming. No bueno.
